The Continuing Saga of the Harkness Family Chronicles

~

Living in the homestead her grandfather built after the end of the Civil War, Maude Amy Webb has lived a long and happy life despite living through the American Great Depression in early childhood  and having lost one of her four sons in Europe while her eldest son, the child of her youthful dreams came home from War shattered inbody and spirit. Now, she is facing her final days with the same courage, compassion and wisdom that governed her life as she seeks to find a special keepsake for each of her four remaining children that will help to illuminate the long lives laying ahead of them without her. Told in a series of letters to God, we share her gracious journey as the next generation steps up to share the house Woodrow Harkness built on his first trip West.
