Mature Lady Smiling

A nine-year-old girl who's parents were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide is the only key to unlocking the reason behind the twin murders. Now the question becomes, how do you ask her casually what she remembers about what they did while they were alive, when she is deeply enmeshed in grieving for them because they're gone? How much or how little did what caused them to be killed get revealed in front of their daughter during their relationship as a family while they were off-duty? And if she does remember...how is she ever going to see that Justice is done on their behalf?
