" Mile Marker 2007 "

Mature Lady Smiling

A celebration of a small life lived large by the hand of the spirit joyfully possessed of his love and honest affection.

Peering Cat

Until recently I was housebound and became quite dependent on my little half-Birman tom cat "Shiloh". I used to tease that he was my 'significant other' because no human would have endured the rejection or the sharp words my little friend accepted and ignored as a matter of course. His breed has been bred to be affectionate, almost to the point of being a nuisance. But the sheer delight of finding my physical strength in the Lord, as well as my  spiritual is that he remains a true and loving friend- when I am home. So I dedicate this sheath of 365 verses to the dearest friend whose walked with me this far, and whom I will cherish until its time to go Home-and beyond.

The shaded avenues

that lead to my heart’s passage

are lined with paw prints and soft, downy fur

Shiloh was here.
