Mature Lady Smiling

Spring weather is always fickle, but it seems even more so as we hunker down and look to see what the new patters will be as Global warming becomes an inevitability. With sunshine pouring down from a sunny sky in the end of winter I find myself anticipating Spring as rains melts the snow and brings the sleeping earth back to life- and me with it.  A.R. Koheen

Rain,

the reason I left Settle after only half a year,

pressed in small globs against my recessed window

while its fellows fall freely just beyond

the coverage the lion's heads gracing the upper rim

of the building does allow

they stare straight out at a light they've seen

in the hundred plus years sice they were sculpted

and dedicated but I wonder ...

did these same droplets in another union

fall between between the toes of dinsosaurs?

Or merely fill their tracks?
