Two
friends sharing an interest in training for the Olympics despite very different backgrounds have to put their plans for the
summer on hold when one of them is seriously injured in an accident in the school gymnastics exhibition. When a wild horse
under their care on the Reservation is maimed, Stephie’s father and her young uncle, newly returned from the Gulf War
in Iraq, take the injured mustang back into the wilds to find a reason to live-and he gives them back the same gift-as new
people and new challenges teach her an invaluable lesson in love and trust to share with her frightened and equally injured
friend as they boldly face a new and better tomorrow for the sake of their friendship today.
